entresto 200mg film-coated tablets contain a combination of sacubitril and valsartan, used for the treatment of chronic heart failure
it belongs to a class called angiotensin receptor neprilysin inhibitors (arni), which help improve heart function and blood flow
sacubitril enhances beneficial peptides that relax blood vessels and remove excess sodium and fluid, while valsartan blocks angiotensin ii to reduce blood pressure
this dual mechanism helps the heart pump more efficiently and reduces strain on the cardiovascular system
it is prescribed to reduce the risk of hospitalization and death in patients with heart failure
- take the tablet exactly as prescribed by your doctor
- usually taken twice daily
- swallow with water, with or without food
- dosage may be adjusted gradually based on response
- do not stop taking without medical advice
