Aldara 5% Imiquimod Cream is an immune response modifier used to treat three specific skin conditions. It works by stimulating the body’s natural immune system to fight abnormal skin growth or viral infections. Aldara is commonly used to treat external genital and anal warts (condylomata acuminata), superficial basal cell carcinoma- a slow-growing form of skin cancer and actinic keratosis, which are rough, sun-damaged patches of skin. Each sachet contains 250mg of cream for external use only, and the treatment helps the body produce natural substances to fight the virus or abnormal cells causing these conditions.
