Fever is a warning signal of the body that should be detected and observed. As a rule, it is the measurable symptom of a disease. To detect fever, the TM 700 fever thermometer from Medisana is a useful aid in your own health control. The measurement result is displayed in the display after ten seconds, if desired, in degrees Celsius or degrees Fahrenheit. An acoustic signal informs you of both the readiness and the measuring end.
The TM 700 fever thermometer also remembers the last measurement result due to its automatic memory function and displays it briefly in the LCD display when switched on again. Ten minutes after measurement, the thermometer will shut off by itself if you forget to turn it off, saving battery life. After measuring insert, the TM 700 is also easy and hygienic to clean, because it is waterproof and can be rubbed off with a cloth soaked with a mild alcoholic solution.
With the TM 700, you can accurately measure body temperature in three ways: oral (under the tongue), axillary (in the armpit) and rectal (in the anter). The fever thermometer is also equipped with a flexible sensor tip that adapts to the body shapes. This means, for example, a painless positioning of the thermometer when measuring rectally. If the thermometer detects a temperature above 37.8 degrees Celsius, it will sound a fever alarm in the form of short beeps, a practical aid for you.

Breathe through your nose while taking the reading in order to avoid inaccurate results.
- RECTAL READINGS: Many patients find rectal measurement uncomfortable, but it delivers precise results. To quickly and reliably determine body temperature, carefully insert the sensor tip approx. 1 cm into the rectum.
- ARMPIT READINGS: Wash the armpit before taking a reading. Insert the tip of the thermometer into the armpit. Lower the arm and press it lightly against the body while the reading is being taken.
