Cefixime is an orally active third generation cephalosporin antibiotic which has marked in vitro bactericidal activity against a wide variety of Gram-positive and Gram-negative organisms.
Cefixime kills certain bacteria by preventing them from being able to create their cell wall.
It is indicated for the treatment of acute infections

- The recommended adult dose of the Suprax suspension is 400 mg daily (1 capsule)
- Take it as directed by your doctor
- Treatment of:
- Upper Respiratory Tract Infections : e.g. otitis media
- Lower Respiratory Tract Infection: e.g. bronchitis.
- Urinary Tract Infections: e.g. cystitis, cystourethritis, uncomplicated pyelonephritis.
