- To use the Vicks® VapoRub Easy Applicator, remove the cap and twist the bottom to release the ointment. For relief from nasal congestion and cough, apply the ointment to your chest, neck, or back, and leave clothes loose to allow vapors to be inhaled.
- For minor aches and pains, rub the ointment directly onto the affected area. After use, clean the applicator top with a tissue and replace the cap.
- Alternatively, for steam inhalation, add 2 teaspoonfuls of ointment into a bowl of steaming (not boiling) water, then inhale the vapors with a towel over your head.
