Symbicort Turbuhaler 160/4.5µg/dose Inhalation Powder delivers a combination of 160 micrograms of budesonide and 4.5 micrograms of formoterol fumarate dihydrate per inhalation. It is used for the regular treatment of asthma, especially in cases where combination therapy with an inhaled corticosteroid and a long-acting beta2-agonist is appropriate. Symbicort is also indicated for the symptomatic treatment of severe COPD in patients with a history of frequent exacerbations, who continue to experience significant symptoms despite regular use of long-acting bronchodilators.
