Very very confused!!

I have been using the previous green label pot which clearly states 'Take one capsule twice daily, preferably with meals. Do not Exceed stated dose'. The new brown label pot with exactly the same capsule in much smaller print 'Take 1 capsule per day, preferably with a meal.Do not exceed stated dose'. Have I been overdosing or is the new recommendation incorrect. My local store could not give me an answer. Which is correct please?
