What Are the Benefits of This Supplement?

  • Vitamin D is one of the body’s most important vitamins, helping it with a variety of tasks: Vitamin D contributes to the normal function of the immune system and is very important for the body’s structural system, maintaining normal bone and muscle function. Vitamin D3 also contributes to the normal absorption and utilisation of calcium and phosphorus.
  • When exposed to sunlight, our bodies will naturally make vitamin D3. This process happens when ultraviolet B (UVB) radiation from the sun triggers the 7-dehydrocholesteol to produce D3. Research suggests that everyone over the age of one years should have a daily intake of at least 10µg of Vitamin D per day to protect bone and muscle health. Government advice is that everyone should consider taking a daily vitamin D supplement, especially during the autumn and winter.

    It�s very good. I can�t fault the speed of delivery. My only complaint is the size of the container, it�s too big they are only small tablets so why don�t H&B use a smaller size.

    I was watching a programme on TV regarding food suplements and a specialitst on the subject stated that as long as a person was eating a good diet, the only extra suplement that could possibly be needed in our winter times was Vitamin D as we do not get very much sunlight. As I am a carer for my partner and have a very fair skin I do not go out in the sun very much so thought I would take his advice. I have not noticed any difference in my health but am a healthy person anyway. They are being taken as a precaution.

    Bought these Vit D3 tablets for my husband and I. Been taking them for just over 2 weeks. They were bought as a buy 1 get 1 half price on line and delivered to my local H and B shop. Great value and delivered as promised

    I had been recommended vitamin D so was really pleased to find it here at a very reasonable price. However, I had read other reviews about the bottle size and to be honest, I thought they were exaggerating. They're not. The size of the bottle against the size of the pills is utterly ridiculous and completely unneccesary. Surely there must be a smaller sized bottle somewhere.
