What Are the Benefits of This Supplement?

  • Flaxseed oil, also known as Linseed oil, is an excellent natural source of Alpha Linolenic Acid (ALA) which is an Omega-3 fatty acid. As the body is unable to produce them, Omega-3 fatty acids are essential additions to the diet.
  • Alpha Linolenic Acid (ALA) contributes to the maintenance of normal blood cholesterol levels. This beneficial effect can be found with a daily intake of 2g of ALA from food and supplements.

    I bought these thinking I was buying a vegetarian alternative to fish oil. Foolishly, I forgot to check the ingredients. Had I done so I would have seen that they are coated in gelatine!

    These capsules are massive - about the size of a jelly bean - so I find them hard to swallow.

    I was recommended flaxseed oil by a doctor for dry eyes. When I first started taking them they gave me a lot of trapped wind so I reduced the dose to just taking the morning tablet during eating my breakfast. After 2 weeks my body had got used to this dose so I was then able to take the 2nd tablet with my evening meal. My eyes have shown a slight improvement so far and I hoping for even more improvement after the next few weeks. These were well within date and packaged well.
